Alone time
joe:
Cell shades are way more easy than realism/semi-realism (which is what I do). When it comes to skill level, the only challenge I have right now is the exaggeration of the anatomy of Japanese art which would take some time to adapt to as my muscle memory is used to real body proportions and real features (i.e. eyes, mouth, nose) which obviously is either exaggerated or non existent on animes. Not to mention I'm a novice at Hentai art. That of course, will improve overtime as any artist practices on their craft. I've only been in bleachpixxx for almost two months and I must say that there really was an improvement from when I started. Some would agree, some wouldn't but it doesn't matter. It doesn't happen overnight. In comparison to Lexus, or any artist anyone would compare me to, they've been at this for years. I'm only just starting back on my anime work which I left probably more than 5 years ago. As someone just starting off, I would say my work ain't that bad compared to other artists on the entire pixxx sites and I have the skill to adapt which is probably why I was hired in the first place. If you were an artist yourself, you would understand what I'm saying. What I would appreciate though are constructive feedbacks pointing out what is really wrong. Boy, I'd really like to see your works and compare it with mine to really find out if you know what you're talking about. If it's better, hands down from me. If not, well...I would understand if you were a non-artist and criticize my skill level like that because most things are easy to say. However, if you were an artist which you said you are, you should understand an artist's journey to improvement. Comparison to others is never in the equation. Just give me time, and you'll definitely see a change. Changing art styles lets an artist explore and learn more as compared to sticking to one single style and then struggle at some point when the time comes that there is a need to change it. Obviously, if an artist knows how to do a few styles, he can cater to more preferences and eventually choose his own style to identify him with. I guess I explained myself well enough.
