Darkuro: It was alluded to slightly before the flashback that Isshin is their uncle. The mention of Isshin being a Shiba all but confirmed it. So that'd make them Ichigo's first cousins.

Hinamori: I was hoping for Kubo to mention during the flashback how he was related to the other Shiba's. Like if they were cousins, brothers, etc. or at least have some interaction with Ganju or Kuukaku
